Adding SIP Accounts

If several agents use VoIP services within your account at CommPeak Portal, you can use multiple SIP accounts.

NOTE

The number of SIP accounts available for adding is displayed on the VoIP Services > SIP Accounts page:​

By default, you are limited to 10 SIP accounts, but if you need more, you can create a respective request to our support team.

To add a new SIP account:

  1. Expand VoIP Services in the left pane and select the SIP Accounts tab.

  2. You will see the number of active/available SIP accounts. Click Add SIP account in the box.

  3. On the page that opens, fill in each section as described below. When done, click Save changes.

Description

Account

  • Name - enter the name of the new SIP account to locate it quickly.

  • Channel Limit - enter the channel limit for this SIP account or 0 to use your account limit. The maximum limit you can distribute between all your SIP accounts is specified at the top of the setup page.

  • Default tech. prefix - Leave the default value to ensure the best routes and call quality.

Caller ID

Here, you can activate/deactivate the Caller ID rules, edit existing rules, and create new ones. To learn more, please refer to the Dynamic Caller ID Rules article.

Features

Select the checkboxes:

  • to bypass NAT issues with no audio for established calls

  • to enable playing a message when you try to call but are out of balance

  • to auto-correct USA numbers to the international E.164 format

Account

Refer to the SIP Account Authentication‍ article. Create a password that is at least eight characters in length and confirm it.

Your new account has been created and will become active in a while.
