DID Types
Updated over a year ago

CommPeak offers various types of DID numbers, which you can order depending on your needs.

  • Geographic DID numbers are tied to a particular city or region and contain digits of local significance in their structure. This type lets you make a local presence and call clients without charging long-distance fees.

  • National DID numbers (or non-geographic) are not tied to a particular local area. Calling any national DID number costs the same as calling a standard landline phone number.

  • Mobile DID numbers are provided by mobile operators within the needed country and have the respective country and mobile network prefixes.

  • Toll-Free DID numbers let users call these numbers from a landline for free. A toll-free number begins with one of the following three-digit codes: 800, 888, 877, 866, 855, 844, or 833.
