Phone Masking
Updated over a week ago

You can mask phone numbers for PBX Stats users on the CDRs or Realtime pages. Hide the whole number or part by replacing the number digits with the X symbols.

You can configure phone masking in PBX Stats using the admin parameters or modifying user roles.

Adding Admin Page Parameters

Administrators can prevent PBX Stats users from viewing some digits of the destination phone numbers (outbound calls) and source Caller ID (inbound calls) on the CDRs page.

Go to the Admin page and click Create New Parameter. Then add one of the following parameters:

  • mask_first_digits - mask the first several digits in destination phone numbers (outbound calls) and source Caller ID (inbound calls). In the Parameter Value box, enter the number of the first digits you wish to hide.

  • mask_last_digits - mask the last several digits in destination phone numbers (outbound calls) and source Caller ID (inbound calls). In the Parameter Value box, enter the number of the last digits you wish to hide.

NOTE
It is not possible to add both mask parameters at the same time. An attempt to do so will return an error:

Modifying User Roles

Administrators can modify user roles to prevent them from viewing all digits of the destination phone numbers (outbound calls) and source Caller ID (inbound calls) on the CDRs and Realtime pages.

Go to the Roles Manager page and click Edit for a specific role. Then select the Mask Phone checkbox and click Save.
