CommPeak Speed Test measures the speed and quality of your connection and lets you make sure your VoIP communication is going to be stable. The system analyzes a few aspects: Download, Upload, Ping, and Jitter.
Firstly, let’s cover basic terms important for understanding how the Speed Test works:
Download
Download shows the rate at which you can pull data from a server on the Internet to your device.
Upload
Upload shows the rate at which you can send data from your device to the Internet.
Ping
Ping shows how quickly your device sends a request and receives a response. A low ping value equals a more responsive connection.
Jitter
Jitter shows the variation between response times. A high jitter value equals a more inconsistent connection and potential call issues.
Mbps = Megabits per second
ms = milliseconds
To run the CommPeak Speed Test, follow these steps:
Make sure the test is being done with a server in the region you want to check.
Click START TEST.
Let the system take a moment to estimate the connection speed and quality. If you want to stop the test, click ABORT at any time.
Copy a link with the test result if you want to share it.
Click TEST AGAIN if you want to run the test one more time.
